Embracing Community Spirit: Upcoming Events in Savage

As a resident of Savage, Minnesota, I’ve always appreciated the strong sense of community that defines our town. Our local events not only provide entertainment but also strengthen the bonds among neighbors. Here are some upcoming events that showcase the vibrant spirit of Savage.

Dan Patch Days

Named after the legendary racehorse, Dan Patch Days is our annual summer festival that brings together residents for a weekend of fun and camaraderie. This year’s festivities include:

  • Grand Parade: Kicking off in downtown Savage, the parade features local organizations, bands, and community groups.
  • Skateboard Events: Held at the Savage Skate Park, these events cater to all ages and skill levels.
  • Family Activities: From food vendors to live music and fireworks, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

For a detailed schedule and more information, visit the official Dan Patch Days website.

Treats ‘n Tunes

Our summer concert series, Treats ‘n Tunes, offers free ice cream and live music in various parks across Savage. It’s a perfect way to spend a summer evening with family and friends. The series runs from May through September, with each event hosted at a different park. For the complete schedule, check the city’s official website.

Farmers Market

From June to October, the St. Paul Farmers Market sets up in the Savage Depot parking lot every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It’s an excellent opportunity to purchase fresh, locally grown produce and support our local farmers.

Participating in these events not only provides entertainment but also fosters a sense of belonging and community pride. I encourage all residents to take advantage of these opportunities to connect with neighbors and celebrate what makes Savage a wonderful place to live.
